Job Title: Director of Demand Generation
Location: San Francisco Bay Area

about the client

This client company, a startup, is a SaaS provider of workflow management tools.


  • Lead development, implementation and prioritization of demand generation programs and strategy, including: automated nurture, drip and other marketing emails and publications, search engine optimization, social media presence and website content
  • Track, analyze and account for the effectiveness of each demand generation campaign; identify areas for improvement
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers, products and the buyer’s journey
  • Ensure that content reaches the right part of the sales funnel at the right time
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to build programs that support sales enablement
  • Create and manage a budget that meets company goals for pipeline growth.
  • Provide ongoing recommendations to executive leadership on how to improve demand gen marketing capability including talent, skills, tools and platforms to maximize reach and effectiveness.


  • 10+ years of experience in creating and executing demand generation programs that build pipelines through integrated campaigns.
  • Experience in software with an understanding of SaaS technology and B2B campaign execution.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (preferably Marketo) and SFDC
  • Experience managing third party vendors including agencies and contractors
  • Results-driven; excellent analytical and quantitative skills to interpret data and translate it into actionable changes.
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple stakeholders and projects with tight deadlines.


BA/BS. MBA preferred.
